Person file
You can record any type of person in the Person file, including historic and contemporary people and companies, and groups such as communities.
Overview

Person records can have multiple names of varying types. This means that you can record acronyms, common names, preferred names, maiden names, known as, and aliases. Each name can have a date associated, so you can record when a name was changed.

Person records can link to one another to show familial or business relationships.

The Person file can connect to your other records like Objects, Events, Documents and Activities.

You can see a person's roles in other records by opening the Person - Roles window.

Roles window
The Person - Roles window shows the files where a person has a role in a record. The Count column shows the number of records in a file where a person had a particular role.
You can double-click a row to see the individual records in List Manager.
