Record Type

The Record Type selection in the Person file specifies whether a record is for a person or corporation.

How this field works

You can choose between Person and Corporate. The available fields will change depending on your choice. For example, if you choose Corporate as the Record Type, you'll have a Corporate Name field instead of First Name and Last Name fields.

XML imports

If you're importing Person record with XML Import, you'll need to enter the Record Type in the Excel spreadsheet.

In the Record Type column, enter P for Person or C for Corporate.
