Photo/Audio-Visual file

You can record photographic and audio-visual material so that they can be viewed and played within Vernon CMS. You can record digital and non-digital images, as well as video and audio files.

Overview

A record in the Photo/Audio-Visual file stores a link to where your image, video, or audio file is located on your organisation's network. You need to create a Photo/Audio-Visual record for each image that you want to show in Vernon. You can then link a record in another file, such as the Object file, to the image records in the Photo/Audio-Visual file.

The way that other files in Vernon CMS link to the Photo/Audio-Visual file is through the Photo/Audio-Visual References window.

For more information, see Images and documents.

Note: If you have photographs, video footage, and audio material that is part of your collection, you should record those items in the Object file.
