Enter valuation data
Learn how to enter valuation information on an Object record.
Overview
You can record valuations in the Object - Valuation window. The most recent valuation will show at the top of the table. The Latest Insurance Value and the Latest Internal Value (for the whole object) are calculated and shown below the table. You can click Recalculate to refresh these values.
Some fields in the Valuation Details table are mandatory:

You must enter data in these fields to save the record.
Steps

Open the Object - Valuation window for the object.

Optional: In the Part field, enter a part. If you record values for individual parts, you must also record a valuation for the whole object. That's because the whole object value is used when you run a report on latest insurance values, and is also the value used when calculating opening and closing valuations.

In the Type field, select an option:

Both (Internal & Insurance)

Insurance

In the Method/Basis field, select an option:

Actual Value

Estimated Mean Value

Estimated Value

In the Value field, enter the value. If you chose Estimated Mean Value as the Method/Basis, then you can click
Options to select a Valuation Category. -
Optional: In the Reason, field, enter a reason.

Optional: In the Person field, enter the valuer.

Optional: In the Notes field, enter any notes.

Click
Save.
