Secure another datafile

By default, only the Object and Person files have datafile security, but you can secure other files.

Steps

1. Go to Tools > System Maintenance > Security Tool.

2. Click Data File.

3. Click  Advanced.

4. Select Secure another Datafile and click OK.

5. Select the datafile from the list, and click OK.

6. Edit the datafile security. Make sure you give the Supervisor Group the right to view, modify, create, and delete in that datafile. Otherwise, you will lock yourself out of that file.

7. Click  Save.
