Search on altitude and depth fields

You can search the altitude and depth of the site where an object was collected.

Steps

  1. Click Advanced on the toolbar to open Advanced Search.

  2. In the list of Search Fields, select Field Collection Altitude or Field Collection Depth and click Next to open the Field Collection Altitude or Field Collection Depth window.

  3. Enter the measurements in the From and To fields.

  4. In Search Type, select an option:

    • Contained: This option searches for altitudes or depths that are only between the measurements you entered.

    • Mostly: This option searches for altitudes or depths where at over 50% of the range falls within the range you entered.

    • Overlapping: This option searches for altitudes or depths where any amount of the range falls within the range you entered.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click Next to see the number of search results and optionally refine your search.

  7. Click Finish to open your results in a browse list.

Note: The Exceptions field refer to data in your system that falls outside of the indexable range (in the Altitude and Depth fields, the indexable range is +/- 499,999.99m). Vernon CMS will pull all the exception data from your records and the options will appear as a drop-down list in the Exceptions table. You do not need to select any Exceptions as part of your search.
