Text fields

You can type straight into text fields. Text fields accept any kind of character and are usually unlimited in length.

To see a larger view of a text field, click the Zoom button that is in the field or on the toolbar:

Insert a special character

You can use the character map to enter characters that are not on your keyboard.

  1. Click into the text field.

  2. Go to the Edit menu and click Character Map.

  3. Select a character.

  4. Click Select. The character will appear in the Characters to copy field.

  5. Click Copy or press Ctrl+C.

  6. Close the Character Map window.

  7. Go to the Edit menu and click Paste, or press Ctrl+V to paste the character in the text field.
