Provenance Details field

The Provenance Details field records information about the history of an object. It usually refers to events which took place before the object was acquired by your institution.

Examples

  • Taken from Bay of Islands.

  • Brought to Boston area by whalers.

  • Acquired by Peabody Museum.

  • Repatriated to NZ.

This is how to select this field in Reporting.

  • Field (Across the page) reports: Select Provenance Notes.

  • Group (Down the page) reports: Expand Provenance (full details) then select Provenance Notes.
