Prevent access to a process

You can prevent a group from accessing a process such as a tool, window, or menu item.

Steps

  1. Go to Tools > System Maintenance > Security Tool.

  2. Click Groups.

  3. With the Group Security window open, in the search bar, enter the name of the group and press Enter. Or click Advanced on the toolbar to select from a list of your groups.

  4. Click Disallow Explicit Processes.

  5. Select all of the processes you want to disallow. For example, to prevent access to Bulk Move, select Menu Tools Location Bulk Move. This list does not include the processes that are allowed because of inheritance (that is, subordinate groups are allowed that process).

  6. Click Save.

Note: If the process is not listed, it may already be disallowed for that group. To check this, View your group security setup.
