Edit a user

You can change a user's password, group, or their related Person record.

Steps

  1. Go to Tools > System Maintenance > Security Tool.

  2. Click Users.

  3. In the User name field, select the user.

  4. Edit the user record:

    • To change their password, in Password, enter a new password.

    • To add a group, next to the Groups field, click Add, select the group, and click OK.

    • To remove a group, in the Groups field, click the group, and click Remove.

    • To change their related Person record, click into the Person field, and enter their name.

  5. Click Save.

Note: If a user is in the Supervisor group, and you want to change their group, you will need to have them enter their password, or remove the password by highlighting it, and pressing Backspace.

Note: You can't change a user's username. Instead, you need to delete the user, and then create the user with the desired username.
