Test your backup

It is important to test your backups. If your backup copy is corrupt, you will not be able to use it to restore the system.

Steps

  1. Save a copy of the backup Wincoll folder to the local drive of your workstation.

  2. Open the Wincoll folder and double-click on the file titled OINSIGHT.exe to launch Vernon CMS.

  3. Enter your usual login details.

  4. Check your data and test that the system behaves as expected.

  5. If you are satisfied the backup is a functional copy of your system, close the program and remove the backup copy from your workstation.

Warning: If the backup copy is not working properly, please backup your live system immediately.
