Hierarchical Level field
The Hierarchical Level field describes the level at which an authority term sits.
How this field works
The Hierarchical Level field connects to the relevant Level file. For example, in the Location file, it connects to the Location Level file. In the Place file, it connects to the Place Level file.
All hierarchical authority files contain the Hierarchical Level field. It lets you enter authority terms structured in a hierarchy that ranges from broader to narrower. When you create an authority term, you can use this field to describe the level at which it sits.
