Controlling Institution field
The Controlling Institution field is usually used if there are multiple institutions using Vernon CMS together.
How this field works
When objects from several institutions have been entered into the database and this data can be accessed by any of the institutions, the Controlling Institution field records which of the institutions is responsible for an object.
The Controlling Institution field should not be used to indicate legal or formal ownership of an object.
