Delete a security group

If a security group is no longer required, you can delete it.

Before you begin

Before you delete a security group, add all the users to another group. Otherwise they'll lose access to Vernon CMS.

You'll also need to edit superior groups to make sure they will have the correct rights after this group has been deleted.

Steps

1. Go to Tools > System Maintenance > Security Tool.

2. Click Groups.

3. In the search bar, enter the name of the group, or click  Advanced to select from a list of your groups.

4. Go to File > Delete.

5. Click No for checking if the record is in use, then click OK to delete the group.
