Copy a field or record
When you need to create many records with similar data, you can copy a field or the entire record rather than having to enter the data again.
Copy a field

Open the records you wish to copy data between in a Browse List.

Enter the data into the first record and click Save. The next record will appear.

On the toolbar, in the Field section, click Copy or go to the Edit menu and click Copy from Previous Field. The data from the previous record’s field will appear in the new record.

Click Save.

Open the record that you would like to copy.

On the toolbar, in the Record section, click Copy or go to the Edit menu and click Copy from Previous Record. The data from the previous record will appear in a new record.

Click
Save.
Note: Please note that some data won’t be copied, including: Accession Number, Location fields, Activity fields, Subordinate objects, Status History, and Update history.
