Link related Object records together

Learn how to link related Object records, such as a natural history holotype specimen and its DNA sample.

Steps

1. Open one of the Object records.

2. Open the Object - Group/Member & Related Objects window.

3. In the Related Objects table, in the Related Object field, enter the related object. You can enter the name, accession number, or System ID of the record.

4. Optional: In the Related Object is field, enter the type of relationship.

5. Optional: In the Start Date and End Date fields, enter the time frame for the relationship.

6. Click  Save. The related object will be updated automatically.
