Add or update tasks in bulk

You can add or update tasks and associated costs in Object and Activity records with the Bulk Task Update tool.

Add tasks and costs

  1. Go to the Tools menu and click Bulk Task Update.

  2. Make sure that Add New Tasks & Costs is selected.

  3. In Datafile, select the file to update. For example, select Object.

  4. Under Record Selection, enter the records with one of these options:

    • In Records to be updated, enter the records manually.

    • In List Name, enter a list or click Options to select it from Portfolio.

  5. Under New Tasks & Costs, enter the details such as Task, Person, Due Date, and Costs.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Select a report type and destination and click OK.

Update existing tasks and costs

  1. Go to the Tools menu and click Bulk Task Update.

  2. Select Update Existing Tasks.

  3. Click Search to retrieve Diary records to update.

  4. Under Replace Diary with, enter the details such as Person, Date Due, and State.

  5. Click OK.
