Apply a candidate status on new authority terms

You can review new authority terms before approving them by applying a candidate status.

Overview

You can apply Candidate as the default status for all new authority terms. This means that when a new authority term is created, it is automatically a candidate.

This setting can be a global default, or you can specify particular files.

Steps

  1. Go to Tools menu, then Authority Tool, then click Candidate Terms.

  2. In the Files field, enter the files that you want the Candidate status applied to. Or leave the field blank to apply theCandidate status to all files.

  3. Under Action, select Turn Defaulting On.

  4. Click Go.

  5. Click Close.
